TEAM SESSIONS

Pro Stride Hockey offers team sessions aimed at improving your team’s skating speed,
goal-scoring ability, and attacking zone skills. These sessions are designed to enhance
various aspects of your team’s performance in a structured and dynamic manner.
During the 1-hour team sessions, players are divided into three groups, rotating through
three different stations:

STATION 1

SKATING TREADMILL STATION

This station focuses on stride mechanics, stride length, and overall skating efficiency. Players work on increasing their stride length and recovery, leading to enhanced speed and a more powerful stride. Additionally, players develop leg strength and conditioning. Advanced teams and players may also work on edge work and puck control during these sessions.

STATION 2

SHOOTING & SCORING STATION

Affiliated with NHL shooting and scoring coach Tim Turk, this station emphasizes proper shooting mechanics, stick usage, shot velocity, accuracy, and release speed. By implementing Tim Turk’s program, the goal is to help your team score more goals. This program is exclusive to Pro Stride Hockey in the Edmonton Area, making it a unique opportunity for improvement.

STATION 3

STICK & PUCK SKILLS STATION

At this station, players refine their stick handling and puck skills, enhancing hand speed, puck control, and puck placement. These skills provide players with more options to outmaneuver defenders and excel in 1-on-1 situations.

Precision Training

All sessions take place on Can-Ice synthetic ice, allowing players to wear the bottom half of their gear, gloves, sticks, and helmets.

The training area is designed for skating, ensuring a realistic practice environment. Each session is led by three qualified instructors, and teams have access to a full-size dressing room for convenience.
